My cute cousin Kirsten is getting married May 13th, 2011. I have the privilege of helping her and her mom plan her special day. I have to admit that it's hard to call this work. Here is one of many fun days of planning and activities. We made these cute little baskets for all her bridesmaids. The main item in the basket was a Barbie Doll along with everything fun and pink. We tied a note to the outside that read, "Would you be a "Doll" and be my bridesmaid?". They turned out so cute take a look for yourself.

Halloween Party
My husbands family has a big Halloween party every year. I love to put parties together and planning all the fun little details, so I volunteered to put it together. Here are a few pictures from the festives. You can make a good party a great party just by adding the little details and most of the time they don't cost much either.

Janine & Chuck's Shabby Chic Wedding
Janine and Chuck became Mr. and Mrs. Musholt on May 30th, 2010 at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The ceremony took place in the South African garden. It couldn't have been a more perfect day for a beautiful bride. It was such an honor for me to be able to take part and help Janine in her special day. She made my job easy due to her excellent organizational skills and attention to every detail. I was not surprised at all.

Janine's bouquet had a special blue charm that her mother had given her before she left this earth months before the wedding. Along with the charm was a locket that had a picture of Janine's mother. Even though she wasn't there physically she was there in spirit and close to Janine on her special day!
I loved the unique ring bearer pillows.
This chair and white rose was reserved for Janine's mother. This chair did not go empty. Marie would not have missed watching her daughter get married for anything!
Their dogs Ellie and Roxy greeted guests as they arrived at the Denver Art Museum which is where the reception took place.
Alan Perry Floral and Event Design out of Denver created this beautiful seating chart tree along with all the other gorgeous floral arrangements. They couldn't have been more talented and great to work with.
The dinner was held inside the museum at Palettes restaurant.

Sara & Jason's Pretty in Hot Pink Wedding: Part One
Sara and Jason got married on May 15, 2010 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Sara had to be one of the easiest brides to work with. She only had a few requests one of them being the color Hot Pink. She had always wanted her reception to be in her parents backyard. If you saw the backyard you'd know why, it's on a bluff that over looks Utah Valley. Beautiful! Along with the help of her mother Anita we transformed their backyard into Sara's Hot Pink reception.
I have to give a little shout out to my mother who did all the beautiful floral arrangements. She has such a great eye for design and making anything look good. I got to help her create and thought it was so much fun. Being a florist would be such a fun job! Maybe in my next life.
As guests approached the home they walked down a path way to the guest book and gift tables. We had the guests put cards into a vintage lantern to keep them from getting lost in the shuffle.
The bride and groom wanted to steer away from a traditional cake and have cupcakes instead. The mother of the bride wanted the more traditional cake so they made a good compromise. A small cake surrounded by yummy cupcakes, which were a big hit. There were all flavors including Keylime Pie, Red Velvet, Raspberry, and Mocha. They were provided by So Cupcake in Salt Lake City. You can visit their website at www.socupcake.com.
We created an Italian Soda Bar with custom flavors for Sara and Jason. The Italian Sodas were a hit, I think partly due to the awesome bar tenders.
As a take away guests were able to fill up bags with candy! Why is candy always so much fun, even as an adult!
More pictures to come. These are the ones I took with my camera. I wanted to get something posted while we waited for the professional photos. Retrospect Studios took some great shots that I hope to post soon. Stay tuned...
